On Mid-Autumn Festival night, 10 of our students served as community ambassadors, actively participating in the annual district event, the "Aberdeen Mid-Autumn Fire Dragon Parade," serving the community and preserving traditional culture through action.
The event embodied the teaching philosophy of using the Southern District as a "walled-less classroom," taking students beyond the classroom and into the community. Through hands-on participation and service learning, students experienced the charm and vitality of traditional folk culture up close. During the parade, they showed great dedication, excellent teamwork, and a heartfelt spirit of service.
This invaluable experience deepened students' sense of belonging and identity with the district, while allowing them to practise civic responsibility—showcasing our students' care for the community and willingness to take on responsibility.
